Position summary

As a member of the Settlers Bay Golf Course Maintenance Crew you are the essential contributor to the daily success of operations. In the golf and recreation industry, the maintenance crew is in place to ensure the quality of conditions directly responsible of our target audience. Settlers Bay prides itself on the best playing conditions in the state, and without your consistent participation and skill, we would not have a saleable product.

Business Objective

  • Arrive on-time and ready to work in the proper outerwear in correlation with weather conditions
  • Be dependable for regularly scheduled hours and available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of course maintenance as directed by the Assistant Superintendent
  • Safety- Capable of competently and efficiently working in conjunction with all chemical and equipment safety procedures manual guidelines
  • Situational Awareness- Monitor and observe guests at play to avoid disruption while concurrently completing tasks quickly and efficiently
  • Must have a strong work ethic and the desire to learn in order to accelerate task efficiency throughout the season
  • Able to receive and carry out specific instructions; Takes Direction well and open to instruction from management or leadership

Position Outline, Requirements, and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Complete assigned tasks and scheduled shifts in inclement weather
  • Exercise patience in completion of common and routine tasks
  • Must have reliable transportation in early hours and inclement weather
  • Maintain a safe and professional attitude at all times while on property
  • Maintains proper respect for all course property and equipment
  • Must work well with others and maintain a team player attitude
  • Driver’s License preferred
